Fucking exactly oh my god. This is exactly the problem half the time.

I would have loved the DCEU from the start if Shazam! was their first movie and also if they were trying to make movies with tones that compliment the character and the story (a Superman solo could also have been done in the same fashion as Shazam!) instead of making movies with a dark tone for the sake of being dark and gritty because that’s what the audiences liked about TDK trilogy.
